Our Goals
- Manage growth and prevent sprawl
- Opposite environmentally harmful land exchanges
- Restore natural quiet
- Protect native vegetation and animal habitat
- Preserve water resources
- Encourage alternate transportation modes
- Support pro-environment candidates for public office
- Recruit more Sierra Club members
Accomplishments
- Helped move the Bradshaw and Woo Ranches into the Coconino National Forest
- Participation in the USFS Amendment 12 Forest Management Plan
- Protected Carroll Canyon from a proposed sewer treatment center
- Prevented the construction of a bridge at Red Rock Crossing
- Worked on the development of the Crescent Moon Ranch recreation area
Current Issues
- Continuing to protect Red Rock Crossing from any bridge construction
- Following the Yavapai Ranch land exchange proposal
- Monitoring the SR 179 upgrade project
- Attending Sedona Citizens Noise Abatement Committee meetings
- Supporting the formation of a Sedona-Red Rock National Scenic Area
